CPG Systems Data Analyst needed for ERP & Demand Planning Systems Upgrade

We are an operations consulting firm seeking a highly technical Systems & ERP Data Analyst for a 6 month project. A high-growth CPG brand's internal systems have been outpaced by its rapid expansion, resulting in massive data friction between its core enterprise systems. Working directly under our lead operations architect, your mandate is to resolve tech stack collisions, and clear a historical data backlog to establish a single source of truth. General Work to Be Done: - Extract, scrub, and normalize messy, historical consumption and sales data directly from ERP and 3rd-party forecasting platforms. - Audit and resolve systemic data issues where ERP system and the forecasting platforms are out of sync. - Run math-heavy variance analyses to identify historical forecasting errors and track ongoing algorithmic model accuracy. - Build clean, repeatable data pipelines and weekly reporting streams that connect sales-side data to operational capacity planning. Exact Capabilities Needed: - Advanced data manipulation skills (expert-level Excel, VBA, macros, and SQL scripting). - Deep understanding of enterprise system topology, database management, and platform integration logic. - Ability to structure clean, automated data sheets that turn raw, chaotic data points into actionable executive insights. Ideal Background: - 4+ years as a Data Analyst or Systems Analyst with direct experience working inside mid-market to enterprise-level CPG ERP systems. - Familiarity parsing retail-specific supply chain data structures (EDI, merchant portals, distribution data). - Proven experience stepping into operational chaos to untangle legacy data backlogs quickly.
