California Fire Alarm Plans Preparation

We are seeking an experienced fire alarm designer, fire protection engineer, or fire alarm professional capable of preparing permit-ready fire alarm plans for an existing multifamily apartment building in Los Angeles. The selected consultant must either hold a California license or work with a California-licensed Fire Protection Engineer or Electrical Engineer who can review and stamp the final drawings for LADBS approval. Scope includes: • Reviewing existing as-built, structural retrofit, and ADU drawings • Determining the minimum code-compliant fire alarm requirements for an existing 3-story, 22-unit R-2 building with two ADU conversions • Coordinating with LADBS/LAFD as necessary to confirm scope requirements • Preparing permit-ready drawings, including device layouts, riser diagrams, battery and voltage drop calculations, and equipment schedules • Responding to plan check comments through permit approval Experience with California codes, NFPA 72, multifamily projects, and Los Angeles permitting is strongly preferred.
