Capital Formation Lead – Commercial Real Estate Private Equity We are an established commercial real estate investment group with active acquisition opportunities in our pipeline. We are seeking an experienced Capital Formation Lead to spearhead our equity-raising efforts from initial strategy through closing. The selected professional will help develop the fundraising strategy, prepare and refine the investment pitch, organize investor materials, identify appropriate capital sources, and actively assist us in pursuing and securing equity commitments. Scope of Work Lead the capital-raising process from initial strategy through investor commitments and closing. Develop a clear and compelling investment pitch for our fund and current acquisition pipeline. Refine financial projections, underwriting, return models, and investor-facing presentations. Coordinate the pitch deck, offering materials, due-diligence package, data room, and investor communications. Identify, evaluate, and pursue appropriate equity sources. Help establish relationships with broker-dealers, RIAs, family offices, accredited investors, and online real estate investment platforms. Assist with applications and submissions to platforms similar to CrowdStreet. Prepare management for investor meetings and presentations. Participate directly in investor outreach, presentations, follow-up, and due diligence. Help move qualified prospects through the fundraising process toward investment commitments. Build a repeatable capital-raising process for future funds and individual acquisitions. Required Experience Applicants must have direct experience raising equity for one or more of the following: Commercial real estate private equity funds Single-property or portfolio syndications Other private commercial real estate offerings Experience with multifamily, manufactured housing communities/mobile home parks, or self-storage is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate has successfully accessed equity through some combination of: Retail accredited investors Broker-dealers Registered investment advisers Family offices High-net-worth individuals Online real estate investment marketplaces Please do not apply unless you have direct commercial real estate or private equity fundraising experience. This is not a bookkeeping, accounting, traditional CFO, residential real estate, or basic financial-modeling assignment. Engagement This will begin as an ongoing consulting engagement structured on an hourly basis or monthly retainer. For the right candidate, the relationship may grow into a long-term or full-time leadership position.
