China Supply Chain & Sourcing Manager (On-the-Ground, China)

About the Role We are looking for an experienced, proactive professional based in China to support our supply chain and manufacturing operations. This is not a typical sourcing role where someone simply searches Alibaba for suppliers. We already have an established network of manufacturers and production partners. We are looking for someone who can act as our local representative, manage projects independently, and maintain close relationships with our factories. This is an ongoing, long-term position with flexible hours depending on current projects. Responsibilities * Manage ongoing projects with our existing manufacturers. * Follow up on production schedules and ensure projects stay on track. * Communicate directly with factories regarding development, production, packaging, and timelines. * Negotiate pricing, lead times, and commercial terms when appropriate. * Visit factories when required to inspect production and ensure quality before shipment. * Conduct pre-shipment quality inspections and identify any issues before goods leave the factory. * Coordinate with suppliers to resolve production or quality issues. * Source new manufacturers or components when required through your own network and local market knowledge. * Provide regular updates, photos, videos, and reports. Requirements * Based in China and able to travel to factories when needed. * Experience working with Chinese manufacturers and supply chains. * Strong negotiation and communication skills. * Fluent in English and Mandarin. * Able to work independently with minimal supervision. * Highly organized and responsive. * Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously. * Experience with quality control and factory inspections is highly preferred. We are looking for someone who: * Has real experience working directly with manufacturers. * Can build and maintain supplier relationships. * Can negotiate effectively. * Can represent our company professionally on-site. * Can proactively solve problems without constant direction.
