Our supply chain is based in China, and we are looking for a highly experienced logistics professional to become our operational right hand on the ground for the long term. Your mission Your core goal is simple: total transparency. We want to know exactly what we're paying for, why, and whether we're getting the best possible price for the quality we expect. You will be our eyes, ears, and voice in China permanently challenging costs, verifying information, and optimizing every aspect of our supply chain. Key responsibilities Cost & pricing transparency Constantly challenge the COGs and product costs quoted by our agent cross-check them against market reality Call shipping lines directly (Yanwen, YunExpress, CNE, etc.) to verify whether the freight costs our agent invoices us match what those lines actually charge Obtain detailed, itemized breakdowns of every cost: product, packaging, logistics, customs, and handling Systematically get competing quotations from other agents and factories offering similar or better quality, with the goal of always driving prices down On-site visits & auditing Conduct unannounced visits to our agent's offices to request proof of payment, actual invoices from carriers, and any relevant documentation Visit our factories regularly to verify product quality, production conditions, and that everything aligns with our standards Be our representative on the ground to physically validate what we are being told Product development & sourcing Communicate new product specifications, colorways, and changes directly to factories in Chinese bridging any communication gap Source new factories and suppliers when needed, evaluate quality and price competitiveness Negotiate directly with manufacturers to secure the best possible terms Ongoing operational support Maintain a healthy, transparent, and professional relationship with our current agent while keeping them competitive Report regularly on findings, cost comparisons, and recommended actions Build and maintain a network of reliable suppliers, freight forwarders, and logistics contacts in China To confirm you have read this entire job post carefully, please start your application with the word "banana".
