Chinese Sourcing Agent / Agency for Apparel, Furniture, Farm Equipment & More

We’re looking for an experienced China-based sourcing agent or sourcing agency to become a long-term procurement partner for our growing business. About Us We are a family-owned farm resort and hospitality business based in Virginia. Our operations include luxury vacation rentals, weddings and events, agritourism experiences, and ongoing property development. As we continue to expand, we regularly source products directly from China across many categories. We're not looking for a one-project hire. We want a reliable sourcing partner who can grow with us over the coming years. What We Source - Our purchasing needs vary widely and include: Apparel and uniforms Custom merchandise Fabrics and textiles Furniture (indoor & outdoor) Home décor, lighting, and hospitality supplies Garden products and raised garden beds Farm equipment, agricultural tools, and machinery (requires technical/engineering knowledge and compliance experience) Event equipment and custom branded products Packaging, building materials, and hardware Many items require OEM or full customization. Order Volume & Budget: We place 5–15 orders per year, ranging from $500 to $20,000+ per order (growing as we expand). Budget is negotiable depending on experience and scope. We are open to hourly, retainer, commission, or fixed-fee models. Please propose what works for you. Responsibilities: Find qualified manufacturers across China Compare multiple supplier quotations Negotiate pricing, MOQs, lead times, and payment terms Verify supplier credibility and production capabilities Communicate with factories in Chinese Request samples and coordinate sample shipments Perform or coordinate quality inspections (especially for machinery and custom goods) Receive, inspect, and consolidate shipments from multiple suppliers Coordinate export logistics and shipping Proactively recommend better products or suppliers when available We're Looking For Someone Who: Is located in China (mainland) Has extensive experience across multiple product categories (not just one niche) Has an established network of manufacturers Is an excellent negotiator Is highly responsive and organized Speaks fluent Chinese and professional English Has experience exporting internationally, especially to the US Can think proactively, not just forward factory messages Nice to Have: In-house QC/inspection team Factory audit capabilities Experience with agricultural or industrial equipment Furniture or textile/apparel sourcing experience Product development or custom manufacturing expertise Important: We Will NOT Consider Agents Who: Refuse to share factory names and contact details Charge hidden fees or markups without disclosure Cannot provide verifiable client references To Apply: Please start your proposal with the word "Virginia" so we know you've read this post carefully.
