Coastal / Flood Engineer Required for Revetment Wall Design – Cleveland QLD

We are seeking a qualified Coastal, Hydraulic or Flood Engineer (RPEQ preferred) to handle the coastal and flood aspects of a new 1800mm high revetment/retaining wall at Masthead Drive, Cleveland QLD 4163. The structural design of the wall will be handled separately by our team. We need expertise focused on the marine/coastal loading, flood/storm tide forces, and council compliance. 1.Site Key Information: Flood & Storm Tide Hazard Overlay (Redland City Council) Max Predicted Storm Tide Level at Year 2100: 3.22 m AHD (1% AEP event) Climate change allowances applied (0.8m sea level rise + 10% increase in cyclone intensity) Geotechnical report available (Class P site, uncontrolled silty clay fill, reactive soils) Full set of building approval drawings and site plan available 2.Scope of Work: Provide coastal/flood engineering design input for the revetment wall (wave forces, storm surge, scour protection, overtopping, etc.). Review and advise on the structural design (provided by us) to ensure it meets flood and coastal requirements. Produce necessary calculations, reports, and drawings for Redland City Council submission / building approval. Recommendations for toe protection, drainage, and long-term durability in a coastal environment. 3.Requirements: Strong experience with coastal revetment walls and flood-prone residential sites in Queensland. Familiarity with Redland City Council flood manuals, Queensland Coastal Plan, AS 4678, and relevant NCC clauses. RPEQ registration (or ability to work with one) is highly desirable. Ability to collaborate and review structural designs.
