Commercial Operations & Procurement Coordinator (Remote) Part-Time | Remote | Long-Term Opportunity About 9ineSpaces 9ineSpaces is a premium interior design and build company delivering residential and commercial projects across Nigeria. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a highly organised, commercially minded individual to support project costing, procurement, budgeting, documentation, reporting, and operational efficiency. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, solving problems, building systems, improving processes, and helping businesses make better commercial decisions. This is not a bookkeeping or virtual assistant role. We are looking for someone who can think critically, take ownership, and become a key part of our commercial and operational decision-making process. Core Responsibilities Commercial Analysis & Project Costing • Review project requirements, specifications, renderings, and scopes of work. • Prepare project cost estimates and budget forecasts. • Assist with BOQ preparation and commercial reviews. • Analyse project profitability and margin potential. • Identify commercial risks and cost-saving opportunities. • Develop procurement and costing strategies for new projects. • Support management in making informed commercial decisions. Procurement & Supplier Management • Source materials, furniture, fittings, lighting, sanitary ware, and project-related items locally and internationally. • Obtain and compare supplier quotations. • Research alternative suppliers and value-engineering options. • Negotiate pricing and delivery terms where required. • Prepare procurement schedules and sourcing recommendations. • Coordinate procurement activities and track orders through completion. • Maintain supplier and pricing databases. Financial Tracking & Project Controls • Monitor project budgets versus actual expenditure. • Track project costs and procurement spend. • Maintain project profitability reports. • Monitor payment schedules and outstanding receivables. • Highlight cost overruns, budget risks, and commercial concerns. • Prepare weekly and monthly commercial reports. Documentation & Business Administration • Prepare and format: o BOQs o Quotations o Invoices o Receipts o Proposals o Presentations o Commercial reports o Client-facing documentation • Maintain organised project and company records. • Ensure consistency and professionalism across all company documentation. Systems, Technology & Process Improvement • Build and maintain trackers, dashboards, templates, and reporting tools. • Leverage AI and modern productivity tools to improve efficiency. • Identify bottlenecks and recommend process improvements. • Assist in developing systems that improve visibility, accountability, and profitability across the business. Required Skills • Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills. • Excellent numerical and analytical ability. • Strong commercial awareness. • Excellent written and verbal communication. • High attention to detail. • Strong organisational and time management skills. • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. • Comfortable using modern productivity and AI tools. Preferred Experience Experience in one or more of the following areas: • Procurement • Quantity Surveying • Commercial Management • Construction • Interior Design • Real Estate • Project Coordination • Operations Management • Cost Estimation • Business Analysis Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Success in this role will be measured by: • Accuracy of project budgets and cost estimates. • Procurement savings achieved. • Timeliness of quotations, BOQs, invoices, and proposals. • Quality and accuracy of reporting. • Margin visibility and profitability tracking. • Improvements implemented in systems and processes. • Reduction in administrative workload for management.
