Construction Estimator — High-end Custom Home Siding and Exterior

We are a 30-year specialty exterior subcontractor in Southern California (siding, trim, millwork, architectural detail on high-end custom homes). We work normally sub-to-GC only — all projects are through general contractors, $50K–$300K+ scope. Looking for a part-time freelancer to help with: - Takeoff data entry from PDF architectural plans (e.g., LF/SF quantities) - Help transition to Buildxact - Populating and improving proposal templates in Buildxact and/or Excel - Formatting versioned proposal PDFs per our standard template - Updating material pricing as supplier quotes change We will provide: full scope notes, PDF plan sets, archived proposal examples, and a complete material system reference guide. You are not starting from scratch. Material systems you'll work with: James Hardie, Cedar shingles, NuCedar, True Exterior, Azek, Advantage Plus, Windsor One etc. **What we need:** - Buildxact experience strongly preferred - Ability to read residential architectural elevations - Strong written English — proposals go directly to GC clients - Reliable 48–72 hr turnaround per draft - US-based or Pacific time zone overlap preferred **Scope:** Starting 2–4 proposals/month. Open to per-project or hourly billing.
