Now we need the right people to help us build our footprint, open doors, and bring in the customers that will define this next phase of our growth. This is where you come in. The Role As a Contract Sales Development Representative, your focus will be on generating new business opportunities for HI Technology & Innovation in the US market. Day to day, this means building a strong pipeline of prospective customers through targeted cold outreach, primarily on the phone. You will be the first voice many of our prospects hear, opening conversations with senior technology leaders, qualifying opportunities, and handing over well briefed leads to our Founder. This is a flexible, outcome led role with no fixed weekly hours, designed to fit around your existing commitments while giving you real ownership of a high value market opportunity. Key Responsibilities Build a strong pipeline of prospective customers within our target ICP - primarily CTOs from technology companies, or non tech native businesses where technology plays a critical role in growth, operations or customer experience. Identify and reach out to new prospects through cold outreach, with a primary focus on the phone. We believe in the good old school approach, and we find it works. We will provide the software, data, and tools you need for prospecting, and if you have your own preferred tools, we are happy to explore using those. Start credible, thoughtful conversations with CTOs to understand their business, software engineering needs and potential fit with our services. Qualify prospects based on relevance, need, timing, and opportunity before moving them through the sales funnel. Hand over qualified opportunities to the wider sales team with the right context and background to ensure a successful first meeting. Join weekly syncs with the Founder and Head of New Markets to share progress, learnings, opportunities, and blockers from your outreach. Help shape our proposition and messaging by gathering voice of customer insights from your conversations, sharing what resonates, what creates questions, and where we can improve as we test, learn, and refine our approach in the market. What We Are Looking For Essential Prior sales experience in an SDR, BDR, sales, or customer - facing role within B2B technology - either SaaS or services. Proven experience with outbound phone outreach - you know how to start conversations with people you have never spoken to before, build rapport quickly, and keep going when the going gets tough. Resilience is not optional in this role, but we will make sure the compensation makes it worth your while. You don't need to be an engineer. But you do need enough technological literacy to hold credible conversations with C-suite leaders - asking sharp questions, understanding the challenges they're trying to solve, and speaking about our services with confidence. We'll provide training to get you up to speed on software engineering teams, common customer challenges, and the trends shaping the industry. Desirable Experience using CRM or sales engagement tools is helpful, but not essential. A genuine interest in technology and innovation, keeping up with industry trends and using that curiosity to bring relevance and energy to your conversations with prospects. What We Offer Commission only contract - designed for someone who wants flexibility, ownership and strong earning potential (though we are open to negotiation on payment terms). 20% commission on closed leads generated by you. With an average first year deal size of approximately US$200,000, a single closed lead could be worth around US$40,000 in commission. No fixed weekly hours. This role is fully flexible and outcome led. We expect initial involvement of around four hours per week, with the opportunity to grow your time and earnings as momentum builds. Direct exposure to senior leadership. As part of the founding sales effort in a new market, you will work closely with the Founder and Head of New Markets, with genuine influence over how we grow.
