About Us We run Homestead Modern, a premium vacation rental brand offering high-end, architecturally significant properties in the high desert (including Joshua Tree, CA). While we drive a steady stream of highly qualified traffic to our rentals page, we want to optimize the user journey to convert more of those visitors into confirmed bookings. The Objective We are looking for a seasoned Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) Specialist / UX Designer to audit our current rentals page and booking funnel, identify friction points, and implement (or design) data-driven solutions that increase our conversion rate and average order value (AOV). Key Responsibilities Comprehensive Audit: Analyze our current /rentals page layout, search functionality, property listing cards, and the checkout/booking flow. User Behavior Analysis: Utilize tools (e.g. Clarity, Google Analytics 4) to track user drop-offs, heatmaps, and session recordings to understand where potential guests are losing interest. UX/UI Recommendations: Provide high-fidelity wireframes, UI mockups, or specific copywriting changes to improve trust, clarity, urgency, and ease of booking. A/B Testing Setup: Develop and execute an A/B testing roadmap (if traffic volume permits) or implement high-impact "quick wins." Mobile Optimization: Ensure the booking experience is flawless and ultra-fast on mobile devices, where a large portion of our traffic originates. Required Qualifications Proven CRO Track Record: 3+ years of experience optimizing e-commerce or hospitality/booking websites (experience with vacation rentals, hotels, or luxury travel is a massive plus). Data-Driven Mindset: Deep familiarity with GA4, heatmapping tools, and user testing methodologies. Design & UX Savvy: Ability to suggest changes that respect and elevate our high-end, minimalist luxury brand aesthetic (no cheap marketing hacks or cluttered pop-ups). Technical Familiarity: Understanding of how booking engines operate (experience with platforms like Hostaway, Guesty, OwnerRez, or custom API integrations is a plus). Strong Portfolio: Case studies showing a measurable lift in conversion rates from previous projects. Project Scope & Budget Type: Hourly or Fixed-Price (Open to negotiation based on your proposed strategy). Duration: 1–3 months (with potential for ongoing monthly optimization and retainer work). Collaboration: You will work directly with our marketing/operations lead and our web developer to implement approved changes.
