Conveyor System Performance Optimization and Design Review

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to evaluate and optimize an industrial belt conveyor system operating in a continuous production environment. The existing system has exhibited operational challenges, including belt tracking deviations, elevated vibration levels under peak loading conditions, and localized structural concerns near the drive section. In addition, the facility intends to increase material handling capacity while maintaining system reliability, safety, and cost-effectiveness. The selected freelancer will be expected to: - Assess the current conveyor system design and identify potential performance limitations. - Investigate the root causes of operational and structural issues. - Recommend design modifications to improve throughput, reliability, and maintainability. - Evaluate critical components, including the conveyor structure, drive assembly, rollers, shafts, bearings, and support systems. - Perform relevant engineering analyses and simulations to validate the proposed design improvements. - Provide technical justification for recommendations, considering both performance and manufacturing feasibility.
