Cosmetic Chemist Needed – Silicone + Copper Peptide Scar Stick Development

*This initial post is looking for consultation and review, ideally with further work to come if moving forward is feasible. I am seeking an experienced cosmetic chemist/formulator to develop a premium scar-care product for commercial launch. The initial product will be a silicone-based scar stick intended for use on healed surgical and traumatic scars. The product concept combines medical-grade silicone technology with Copper Tripeptide-1 (GHK-Cu) and is intended to deliver an elegant consumer experience while maintaining strong scar-care functionality. Project Goals: • Develop a commercially viable scar stick formulation • Maintain meaningful silicone film-forming functionality • Incorporate Copper Tripeptide-1 (GHK-Cu), preferably using an appropriate stabilization or encapsulation strategy if necessary • Fragrance-free and suitable for sensitive skin • Compatible with scaled manufacturing Preferred Experience: • Silicone-based skincare formulations • Peptide formulations, especially Copper Tripeptide-1 • Stick, balm, or solid skincare formats • Scar-care, wound-care, post-procedure, or medical skincare products • Experience transferring formulations to contract manufacturers Deliverables: Phase 1 – Feasibility & Consultation • Review product concept • Evaluate technical feasibility • Recommend ingredient and delivery system strategy • Discuss manufacturing considerations Phase 2 – Formula Development (if we move forward together) • Prototype formulation • Sample(s) for evaluation • Formula revisions based on feedback • Preliminary manufacturing guidance • Ingredient sourcing recommendations Please Include: • Brief summary of your formulation experience • Relevant products you have worked on (silicone, peptides, sticks, scar-care, etc.) • Whether you have experience with Copper Tripeptide-1 • Typical project pricing and process • Whether the resulting formula can be assigned to or owned by the client This project is currently in the concept and feasibility stage.
