Creative Director Needed for Fashion/Lifestyle Brand Photoshoot (Website + Campaign Direction)

Summary

I’m looking for an experienced Creative Director to shape the visual direction for an upcoming photoshoot for a modern lifestyle brand. The shoot will be used primarily for the brand website, e-commerce pages, and ongoing brand content, so the creative direction needs to be highly intentional, cohesive, and commercially strong. This is not just moodboarding — I need someone who can translate a brand identity into a complete visual concept, including styling, composition, and shoot planning, that a photographer and production team can confidently execute. About the brand: The brand is built around slow living, calm, and quiet comfort. The aesthetic is grounded in: Soft, minimal, and understated visuals Calm emotional tone (nothing loud or overly styled) Effortless, timeless lifestyle imagery A sense of warmth, ease, and simplicity Elevated “quiet luxury” rather than trend-driven content The goal is to build a long-term visual identity that feels consistent across the website, product pages, and future campaigns. Scope of work: Initial strategy / creative direction session (brand, audience, mood, visual goals) Development of detailed moodboards (campaign direction + website visual language) Styling direction (outfits, textures, colour palette, props, set direction if needed) Shoot planning and structure (locations, shot flow, composition ideas) Detailed shot list tailored for website, product pages, and social media use A clear creative direction document for execution by photographer and team What I’m looking for: Proven experience in fashion, lifestyle, or e-commerce creative direction Strong portfolio of shoot concepts, moodboards, or campaign work Ability to translate abstract brand values into cohesive visual storytelling Understanding of styling, composition, and website/e-commerce visuals Ability to create clear, actionable direction for a shoot team Important: This shoot is for website and brand use, so clarity, consistency, and commercial usability of imagery is essential. The final direction must feel aligned with a calm, slow, and elevated aesthetic — not overly commercial or trend-driven. Nice to have: Experience with emerging or founder-led lifestyle brands Understanding of Shopify or e-commerce visual hierarchy Ability to balance editorial aesthetics with commercial usability To apply, please include: Portfolio or examples of relevant creative direction work A short explanation of how you translate a brand into a visual concept Your typical timeline for a project like this Your rate for this scope of work
