Summary

ROLE SUMMARY The Curriculum & Learning Experience Specialist develops and maintains MSC’s curriculum across all three programs - TotalOrtho+ (10-week on-campus), TotalOrtho (10-week hybrid; 9 weeks online plus a 1-week in-person residency), and TotalBio (8-week fully online Biologics & Regenerative Medicine) - and serves as a key support and resource to the instructors who teach them. This is a driver role, not a support role. The Specialist takes personal ownership of the quality and accuracy of the learning materials they produce, manages their own projects to deadline with minimal supervision, and acts as a dependable resource to instructors and students. Working in a remote environment, the Specialist is expected to be responsive, organized, proactive, and accountable for the work they deliver. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Course & Curriculum Development Manage assigned curriculum projects from start to finish - scoping, storyboarding, building, quality-checking, and revising - working independently and proactively rather than needing step-by-step direction. Design and develop engaging, effective learning materials, including storyboards, CBT modules, assessments, rubrics, role plays, activities, and instructor guides. Maintain solid, working familiarity with the content and structure of each MSC program. Working knowledge of instructional design processes and models, with particular fluency in the Successive Approximation Model (SAM), plus familiarity with frameworks such as ADDIE and adult-learning theory. Write clear, accurate scripts for video and audio content. Analyze, update, and refine existing course content to keep it current and effective. Keep course folders and project documentation organized and up to date. Quality & Accuracy Rigorously quality-check every asset before it is published - spelling, grammar, formatting, links, and clinical/technical accuracy - so that work arrives polished and ready to use. Take personal ownership of the accuracy and polish of deliverables, so that instructor and leadership review is a spot-check rather than a rework Instructor & Student Support Serve as a dependable, approachable resource to instructors, helping them improve delivery, engagement, and use of course materials across on-campus, hybrid, and online formats. Provide onboarding and training to instructors on Canvas, Google Drive, and other MSC platforms. Serve as a point of support for the student and instructor Canvas help desk, resolving course and platform questions promptly and professionally. Platform & Systems Build, configure, and maintain courses within the Canvas LMS, including assessments and course materials. Troubleshoot platform issues reported by instructors and students, escalating as needed. QUALIFICATIONS Ability to manage curriculum projects from start to finish and work independently with minimal supervision. Solid proficiency with Canvas LMS and comfort providing student/instructor help-desk support. Exceptional attention to detail and a track record of accurate, polished, publication-ready work. Approachable and collaborative, with the credibility to be a genuine resource to instructors. Working knowledge of instructional design theory, assessment, and adult-learning principles. Proficiency with Articulate (Rise 360 / Storyline); working knowledge of Adobe CC (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) and basic HTML. Excellent written and verbal communication with impeccable spelling and grammar. Highly responsive and self-directed in a remote environment; strong organizational and project-management skills. Collaborative team player who supports colleagues across departments.
