Data Scientist (SPSS, Python & R) needed

We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst with strong Data Science skills to support data analysis for a construction industry project. The role involves working with project data, cost reports, productivity metrics, and survey data using SPSS for statistical analysis and Python/R for advanced data processing and modelling. Project Overview This project requires thorough data cleaning, statistical analysis, and insightful reporting from construction-related datasets (e.g., project costs, timelines, resource utilization, safety records, and performance metrics). You will help turn raw data into actionable insights for better project planning, cost control, and performance optimization. Key Responsibilities: - Import, clean, and prepare construction datasets using SPSS, Python (pandas, numpy), and R (tidyverse) - Perform statistical analysis in SPSS (descriptive stats, hypothesis testing, ANOVA, regression, correlation, etc.) - Develop custom Python functions and scripts for specialized construction data analysis (e.g., automated cost variance analysis, productivity indexing, delay impact modeling, resource optimization algorithms, etc.) - Apply data science techniques using Python and R: feature engineering, trend analysis, predictive modelling, and forecasting - Handle missing values, outliers, and data transformation specific to construction data - Create clear visualizations and dashboards (ggplot2, matplotlib, seaborn) - Generate professional reports with actionable recommendations for project managers and stakeholders - Document all analysis steps and custom functions for reproducibility Required Skills & Experience: - Strong proficiency in SPSS, Python, and R - Solid experience in statistical analysis - Proven ability to write clean, reusable custom Python functions for domain-specific analysis - Previous experience working with construction, engineering, or project-based data is a big advantage - Ability to combine traditional statistical methods (SPSS) with modern data science tools (Python & R) - Excellent communication skills What to Include in Your Proposal: - Your experience with SPSS, Python, and R - Examples of similar statistical data analysis projects.
