Database Administrator (DBA) We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, maintain, secure, and optimize the organization's database environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring database availability, performance, integrity, backup and recovery processes, and compliance with security and governance standards. This role will work closely with IT, application teams, and business stakeholders to support critical business systems and data operations. Database Administration & Maintenance Install, configure, monitor, and maintain database systems across production, test, and development environments. Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of all database platforms. Perform database upgrades, patches, and migrations with minimal business disruption. Monitor database health and proactively resolve performance issues. Analyze and optimize database performance through indexing, query tuning, and capacity planning. Monitor resource utilization and recommend improvements to maximize efficiency. Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to improve system performance. Backup, Recovery & Business Continuity Develop and maintain database backup and recovery strategies. Perform regular backup validation and disaster recovery testing. Ensure data recovery procedures meet business continuity requirements. Security & Compliance Manage database security, user access, permissions, and authentication controls. Implement and maintain data protection standards and best practices. Support compliance initiatives, audits, and regulatory requirements. Ensure proper segregation of duties and adherence to security policies. Data Integrity & Governance Maintain database integrity, consistency, and accuracy. Support data governance initiatives and master data management practices. Develop and maintain database documentation, standards, and procedures. Support & Collaboration Provide technical support for database-related issues and incidents. Collaborate with application developers, infrastructure teams, and business users to support system enhancements and integrations. Participate in project planning, implementation, and testing activities. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field. 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator. Strong experience administering SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar enterprise database platforms. Experience with database backup, recovery, replication, and high-availability solutions. Experience with monitoring tools and database maintenance best practices. Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience supporting ERP environments such as Sage X3. Knowledge of cloud database platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud). Experience with automation, scripting, and database deployment tools.
