Description We are a reputable U.S. criminal-defense law firm seeking a detail-oriented, proactive Virtual Assistant to support our attorneys with admin, documentation, and client communications. You’ll keep matters moving, manage files, and assist during discovery. Responsibilities Handle daily admin and attorney support. Prepare/organize legal documents (accuracy + completeness). Coordinate client communications: schedule, confirm, follow-ups. Maintain up-to-date client files (searchable, consistent naming). Support discovery reviews (gather/organize materials). Light legal research and drafting as directed. Help improve client experience through timely, professional interactions. Must-Have Qualifications 2+ years’ experience in U.S. criminal defense (legal admin/VA/paralegal). Upwork track record: $1,000+ lifetime earnings and 90%+ Job Success Score. Strong written/verbal English; excellent organization and attention to detail. Discretion with sensitive information. Comfortable prioritizing multiple tasks independently and with a team. Tools: MyCase (preferred), Google Workspace, Dropbox, Microsoft Office; WordPress a plus. Availability during U.S. Eastern Time (EST) business hours. Exclusivity: able to dedicate working hours to our firm only (no other concurrent employment). Preferred Familiarity with legal terminology/procedure (Ohio courts a plus). Experience standardizing SOPs and file-naming conventions.
