Direct Mail Graphic Designer

We are seeking a talented, detail-oriented Graphic Designer to produce high-quality direct mail fundraising materials for multiple nonprofit organizations. You will work closely with our marketing team to execute creative concepts, develop layouts, apply revisions, and prepare files for print. The ideal candidate has exceptional typography, layout, and print production skills and is comfortable working within established brand standards while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. This position will begin on a project basis. For the right candidate, there is strong potential for an ongoing, long-term working relationship as our organizations continue to grow. Responsibilities * Design and produce direct mail fundraising packages, including: * Letters * Reply devices * Outer envelopes * Buckslips * Inserts * Brochures * Newsletters * Lift notes * Mailing labels * Assist the marketing team with additional graphic design projects, including logo refinements, branding updates, digital assets, social media graphics, presentations, and other marketing materials. * Follow creative direction and design concepts provided by the marketing team. * Apply revisions efficiently and accurately while meeting project deadlines. * Ensure visual consistency across all campaign components. * Prepare print-ready artwork according to vendor specifications. * Maintain well-organized source files and project assets. * Adapt existing campaigns into new formats while preserving brand consistency. Qualifications * 5+ years of professional graphic design experience, including direct mail production. * Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly: * Adobe InDesign * Adobe Illustrator * Adobe Photoshop * Strong understanding of typography, layout, color theory, and visual hierarchy. * Experience preparing print-ready files for commercial printing. * Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. * Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. * Excellent communication skills and the ability to receive and implement creative feedback. Preferred Qualifications * Experience designing direct response fundraising campaigns for nonprofit organizations. * Knowledge of commercial print production, mailing requirements, and USPS postal regulations. * Experience collaborating with print vendors and preparing files for variable data printing is a plus.
