Drainage, Grading, and Sump Pump Plan

We are looking for a civil engineer or drainage/grading consultant to prepare the required drainage and grading plans for a residential ADU project in Bel Air. Project Scope The project includes a new accessory dwelling unit that will add approximately 700 square feet of new impervious roof area. The City of Los Angeles is requiring that rainfall collected from the ADU roof be directed to the street curb via a sump pump system. In addition to the new ADU drainage requirement, the property currently has existing drainage and water pooling issues near the bottom of the existing driveway. We would like to address those existing drainage problems as part of the overall site drainage design. The owner also wants to partially regrade a portion of the existing driveway to create a flatter paved area that can function as a small basketball court. This proposed basketball court area is located in the same general area as the current drainage/pooling issue and adjacent to the proposed ADU. Requested Engineering Scope Please provide a proposal for the following: Site drainage review and recommendations. Drainage plan showing collection and discharge of ADU roof runoff to the street curb. Sump pump sizing, location, discharge routing, and related details required for City approval. Grading plan for the affected driveway/basketball court area. Recommendations to resolve existing water pooling at the bottom of the driveway. Coordination with the approved ADU plans and existing site conditions. Any required notes, details, calculations, or exhibits needed for City of Los Angeles plan check.
