JOB TITLE Full-Time E-commerce Growth & Marketing Manager – Meta, Google, Amazon, Shopify & AI ABOUT HEATLAB Heatlab is a growing UK brand that designs innovative tools for plumbers and heating engineers. Our products are designed from genuine experience within the UK plumbing and heating industry. We sell through Amazon, Shopify and selected trade partners, with several new products launching over the next 12 months. We are now looking for an experienced, commercially minded marketing manager who can take ownership of our day-to-day marketing and help grow the business. This is not a narrow PPC role or a basic social-media position. We need an intelligent marketing all-rounder who can understand our products, identify strong campaign angles, coordinate content creation, launch campaigns and continuously improve performance. The right person will effectively take ownership of many of the marketing responsibilities currently managed by the founder. ROLE DETAILS • Full-time: 40 hours per week • Long-term position • Remote • Individual freelancers preferred rather than agencies • Working hours must include a reasonable overlap with UK business hours • Performance bonuses available for successful campaigns and high-performing original content CORE RESPONSIBILITIES Paid Advertising • Plan, launch and optimise Meta advertising campaigns across Facebook and Instagram • Manage Google Ads, including Shopping, Search, Performance Max and remarketing • Manage and optimise Amazon PPC campaigns • Monitor budgets, profitability, ROAS, MER, CAC, conversion rates, ACoS and TACoS • Scale profitable campaigns while identifying and stopping wasted spend • Build clear testing plans rather than making random campaign changes • Produce useful weekly reports explaining what happened, why it happened and what should be done next Shopify and Conversion Optimisation • Manage and improve our Shopify store • Build and edit landing pages using GemPages • Identify conversion problems across product pages, landing pages, bundles and checkout journeys • Develop and test stronger offers, page structures, copy, imagery, bundles and upsells • Use Shopify analytics, GA4, heatmaps and advertising data to make commercially sensible decisions • Ensure tracking, pixels, catalogues and product feeds are functioning correctly Campaign Strategy and Content Direction • Understand each product, its use cases and the problems it solves • Research plumbers, heating engineers, tradespeople and relevant UK customer groups • Develop campaign angles based on real customer problems, seasonal demand and product benefits • Write clear creative briefs for our videographer, content creators and designers • Decide which hooks, demonstrations, scenes, objections and calls to action should be included • Turn raw product footage into organised advertising campaigns • Build a repeatable process for testing hooks, angles, formats, offers and audiences • Think independently and suggest campaigns without waiting for detailed instructions from the founder AI-Assisted Marketing We want someone who is highly capable with modern AI tools, including Claude, ChatGPT, Manus and AI image-generation platforms. You should be able to use AI to: • Research markets, competitors, customers and campaign opportunities • Generate and refine advertising concepts • Analyse reviews and identify recurring customer problems • Develop copy, scripts, landing-page structures and creative briefs • Produce promotional images and mock-ups • Improve efficiency without allowing AI to reduce the quality or credibility of the brand Critically, you must have strong visual judgement. We do not want fake-looking AI adverts, unrealistic tools, incorrect product details or generic imagery that makes Heatlab look like a questionable dropshipping brand. You must be able to distinguish between a credible promotional image and an image that looks artificial, physically incorrect or off-brand. Wherever AI is used, the real product must remain accurate. Influencer and Social Media Management • Research relevant plumbers, heating engineers, tool reviewers and trade influencers on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and Facebook • Contact suitable creators and negotiate content or promotional collaborations • Assess influencers based on audience relevance and engagement rather than follower count alone • Maintain an organised influencer outreach pipeline • Repurpose content across social media channels • Create and schedule useful, engaging posts • Respond to relevant comments and identify customer feedback that could improve our products or marketing • Help build Heatlab into a recognisable UK trade-tool brand Amazon Marketing • Manage Amazon PPC campaign structure and optimisation • Review search-term data and identify profitable keywords • Improve product titles, bullet points, images, A+ Content and listings where required • Understand the relationship between advertising performance, organic ranking, conversion rate and profitability • Coordinate Amazon promotions and product launches • Support new product launches with structured ranking and advertising plans WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR You should have proven experience in several of the following areas: • Meta Ads • Google Ads • Amazon PPC • Shopify • GemPages or a similar Shopify page builder • Conversion-rate optimisation • E-commerce copywriting • Creative strategy • Influencer outreach • Social-media management • AI-assisted marketing and content creation • E-commerce reporting and analytics You must also: • Think commercially and understand that revenue without profit is not success • Be comfortable taking ownership and making decisions • Communicate clearly and directly • Be organised and able to manage several campaigns and products at once • Check your own work carefully • Understand the difference between activity and meaningful progress • Be willing to learn the UK plumbing and heating industry in detail • Be able to communicate effectively with a founder, videographer, designers, influencers and external freelancers Knowledge of plumbing, heating, tools, construction or trade products would be a major advantage. However, genuine curiosity and the ability to learn the industry quickly are more important than pretending to understand it. THIS ROLE IS NOT SUITABLE FOR SOMEONE WHO: • Needs detailed step-by-step instructions for every task • Only knows how to press buttons inside an advertising platform • Reports impressions and clicks without connecting them to profit • Uses AI-generated content without checking whether it is believable or accurate • Produces generic, corporate or obviously AI-written copy • Claims expertise across every platform but cannot provide evidence • Is managing too many clients to give Heatlab proper attention HOW SUCCESS WILL BE MEASURED Success will be judged through outcomes such as: • Profitable growth across Shopify and Amazon • Improved Meta and Google advertising performance • Stronger Amazon PPC efficiency • Increased Shopify conversion rate and average order value • A consistent pipeline of new campaign ideas and creative tests • Better-performing video and image content • Relevant influencer partnerships • Improved organic social-media activity • Clear reporting and fewer marketing tasks requiring founder involvement PERFORMANCE BONUSES In addition to the agreed salary or hourly rate, bonuses may be paid for: • Original content that becomes a consistently profitable advert • Successful new campaign angles • Meaningful improvements in conversion rate • Profitable scaling of advertising campaigns • Influencer collaborations that generate measurable sales • Successful product launches HOW TO APPLY Please begin your application with the words: “REAL PRODUCTS, REAL MARKETING” Applications without this phrase may not be reviewed. The task may include: • Identifying three campaign angles • Writing three advertising hooks • Suggesting a landing-page improvement • Reviewing one existing promotional image • Explaining what content should be filmed by our videographer • Outlining a basic Meta, Google or Amazon campaign structure We are looking for quality of thought, commercial judgement and attention to detail—not the longest presentation or the largest quantity of AI-generated material.
