AP Economics Teacher, Part-Time Remote Only

Project Overview We are seeking a long-term part-time remote economics teacher to deliver structured online instruction for high school learners following College Board AP curriculum standards. Sessions include one-on-one and 2-student small group live online classes via dedicated virtual classroom software. Core Responsibilities 1. Deliver fully English live online lessons covering full AP Microeconomics and Macroeconomics syllabus; apply case study analysis, guided academic discussion and interactive exercises to support learners with varied foundational levels. ​ 2. Design aligned teaching materials including semester lesson outlines, practice assignments and unit assessments in line with the latest official AP curriculum framework; break down free-response question scoring rubrics for clear student guidance. ​ 3. Complete standardized written progress updates after each session, identify knowledge gaps and create personalized learning improvement plans for each learner. ​ 4. Provide consistent academic support and structured curriculum review; candidates with experience guiding economics academic competitions are strongly preferred. ​ 5. Record all teaching sessions as required and join regular internal curriculum alignment discussions with our education team. ​ 6. Maintain clear, polite written English communication with learner guardians regarding academic progress as scheduled. Mandatory Qualifications 1. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Economics, Applied Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Public Policy or related quantitative fields; graduate degree holders receive priority review. ​ 2. Advanced English proficiency: native English speakers preferred. Non-native applicants must hold IELTS 8.5 or equivalent TOEFL 115+ with precise academic vocabulary command for economics instruction and formal written communication. ​ 3. Minimum 1 year verified independent teaching experience delivering AP Micro/Macro Economics courses for secondary learners; full familiarity with AP assessment frameworks and scoring guidelines required. ​ 4. Skilled operation of mainstream online classroom tools and official AP digital exam practice systems; proven ability to maintain focused, interactive remote learning environments.
