Economy & Tokenomics Advisor — F2P Mobile + Web3 Games
Worldwide
About us We're an early-stage studio building a character-first entertainment franchise spanning mobile and PC/console games, merchandise, licensing and an optional Web3 ownership layer. Our first title is a freeto-play mobile runner, and it's the first of a planned trilogy built around a single original character. (Studio and franchise details shared with candidates who progress past first contact.) We operate as a lean, senior, AI-augmented studio, and we've already produced an extensive strategic and economic documentation suite covering game design, the Web2 economy, player psychology, tokenomics, monetary policy, governance and franchise strategy. Why this role is unusual Unlike most game-economy roles, you're not joining to optimise a single live game. You'll help shape the economic foundations of an entire entertainment franchise — spanning multiple games, an optional digitalownership layer, and long-term investor strategy — with a genuine path to becoming Fractional Head of Economy. Most senior economists have balanced economies. Very few get to help define one from the beginning. What already exists (so you're not starting from a blank page) • A defined Web2 economy: currencies, progression philosophy, monetisation philosophy, pricing philosophy, a "no pay-to-win / noconversion" constraint set, battle pass, and in-game systems. • A defined token architecture: fixed 1B supply, emission and vesting structure, four burn mechanisms, treasury model, and a structural (token-denominated) economic simulation. • The causal foundation: documented behavioural reasoning for why players start, stay and spend, and the constraints that keep the economy healthy. What you'll own The design is largely defined. What now needs building is the quantitative validation behind it. You'd own: • Balancing the Web2 economy — faucet/sink rates, currency flows, long-run inflation. • Building the economy-derived metrics: ARPDAU, conversion, retention assumptions, LTV. • Reconciling the token model into one consistent source of truth (some figures have drifted between documents and need pinning down). • Documenting why each assumption was chosen, so it survives investor scrutiny. • Mapping how the economy scales across Games 2 and 3, not just the first title. • Later: co-authoring the investor-facing economic assumptions and joining investor meetings. Out of scope: corporate finance (burn, runway, cap table, valuation, use of funds). That's owned by the founders / finance side. You feed it; you don't build it. Foundation Phase (first 30 days) • Review and validate the existing economic framework. • Reconcile the token model into a single source of truth. • Produce an initial investor-ready economic assumptions model (ARPDAU, conversion, retention, LTV). • Prioritise and begin balancing the Web2 economy. • Produce an economic roadmap for the trilogy. You are • Experienced in free-to-play game economy design — you've balanced or rescued live mobile economies. • Fluent in both economy design and business/investment economics — comfortable talking to developers and to investors. • Experience with tokenomics or Web3 economies is highly desirable, but exceptional F2P economy designers are strongly encouraged to apply. • Someone who enjoys challenging assumptions and can show why with data. How to apply Tell us: (1) one game economy you improved and the measurable result, and (2) one thing in a free-to-play runner economy you'd expect to be broken, and how you'd check. Applications that skip these will not be reviewed. (We'll share a detailed scope document with candidates who progress past first contact.)
