AI/ML Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Windows desktop developer with strong expertise in C# COM Interop, CorelDRAW VGCore API, event-driven plugins, and thread-safe desktop application development. Project Overview We have built a CorelDRAW plugin that: Hooks into CorelDRAW events (SelectionChange, ShapeTransform, ShapeChange, DocumentOpen, etc.) Extracts document and object metadata Streams structured JSON via WebSockets to a Python AI pipeline Performs real-time synchronization between CorelDRAW and external AI services The overall architecture is already functional. Current Blocker We are encountering a reproducible CorelDRAW crash. Scenario: Select a mixed object set (e.g. Text + Image) Change Line Style / Outline settings CorelDRAW crashes immediately Suspected Cause The plugin reads shape properties while CorelDRAW is updating internal object state during outline/style modifications. We believe this is related to: COM thread-safety issues Re-entrant event handling Event flooding during object updates Accessing VGCore objects during unstable update states What We Need We need someone who can: Review the existing event architecture Diagnose the crash using logs and source code Implement a robust fix Ensure all COM interactions occur safely Recommend best practices for CorelDRAW plugin stability Help optimize event handling and debouncing logic Tech Stack C# .NET Framework CorelDRAW VGCore API COM Interop WebSockets Newtonsoft.Json Python backend (for communication only) Ideal Experience Please apply only if you have experience with one or more of the following: CorelDRAW plugin development COM Interop development Office Add-ins / AutoCAD plugins / Adobe plugins Windows desktop event-driven applications Threading and UI synchronization in COM-based systems To Apply Please include: Relevant COM or plugin projects you've worked on Experience with CorelDRAW, AutoCAD, Office Add-ins, or similar desktop integrations Your approach to debugging COM crashes and event-driven application issues We can provide screen recordings.
