English to Swedish Technical Translation – Owner's Manuals & Safety Labels

Project Overview We are looking for an experienced technical translator to translate industrial documentation from English to Swedish. The project consists of: Two Owner's Manuals totaling approximately 140 pages Text for 14 unique safety labels The manuals contain technical, operational, maintenance, troubleshooting, and safety-related content. We need someone proficient in technical and industrial language. Scope of Work Translate approximately 140 pages of Owner's Manuals from English to Swedish. Translate the text of 14 unique safety labels. Maintain consistency of technical terminology throughout the documentation. Preserve the original meaning of all operating instructions, warnings, cautions, and safety information. Maintain the existing formatting of the manuals. Source Files The manuals will be provided in Microsoft Word format. The translated manuals must be returned in Word format while maintaining the original formatting, structure, tables, headings, and layout as closely as possible. For the safety labels, translation using AutoCAD and/or CorelDRAW is a plus, but translation of the label text in Word format is also fine. Important Requirement This must be a human translation only. No machine translation, AI-generated translation, or raw automated translation submissions will be accepted. Confidentiality / NDA The selected freelancer will be required to treat all documents, manuals, label text, drawings, and related project materials as strictly confidential. An NDA may be required before files are shared. The freelancer must not copy, disclose, publish, reuse, or share any project materials or translated content with any third party without prior written permission. Requirements Native or professional-level Swedish proficiency. Excellent command of English. Proven experience translating technical, engineering, industrial, or manufacturing documentation. Strong understanding of technical and safety-related terminology. Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Ability to preserve formatting in Microsoft Word. To Apply Please provide: 1.
