Event Ticket Sales Campaign Manager (Conference, 1,000 tickets, 4-month sprint)
Worldwide
We are hosting Beyond Africa Conference in Austin, Texas in November 2026, a conference for African professionals building careers and companies in the USA, on November 5. I need an experienced campaign manager to own the ticket sales operation and drive us to 1,000 paid tickets before the event. This is not a content-only or ads-only role. You'll run a four-channel strategy (owned audience, an ambassador/affiliate program, corporate and group sales, and paid retargeting) and keep all of it tracked against weekly targets. I have the audience, the brand, and the tech stack already in place. I need someone to operate the machine and hit the number. What you'll own Weekly sales targets by channel, and a single dashboard showing tickets sold against plan so we catch stalls early The ambassador/affiliate program: onboarding, tracking via unique codes, keeping a leaderboard active, and re-arming ambassadors with fresh assets Corporate and group/ERG sales pipeline: outreach, follow-up, and closing sponsored tables Launch sequences and ongoing email and SMS cadence (early-bird, the grind, final push) Paid retargeting setup and management across Meta and LinkedIn Funnel hygiene: abandoned checkout recovery, waitlist-to-buyer conversion, list segmentation Our stack (you should be fluent in most of these) HubSpot (CRM, workflows, lead scoring), Stripe (tiered ticketing, discount codes, group invoices), Salesmsg (SMS), Zoom (webinar funnel), and a Meta/LinkedIn ads manager. Familiarity with Apollo or Clay for building outreach lists is a plus. You're a strong fit if you have A track record selling out paid events, ticketed conferences, summits, or high-volume webinar-to-purchase funnels (please show numbers: tickets sold, timeframe, channels) Built or run an affiliate, ambassador, or referral program with real attribution Comfort owning a target and reporting on it weekly, not just executing tasks Strong project management; you keep multiple channels moving without hand-holding Bonus Experience marketing to the African diaspora, multicultural, or community-driven audiences. Understanding that this audience moves on trust and personal invitation, not generic ads. Engagement Roughly 20 to 30 hours/week through November 5, with a heavier ramp in the first three weeks and the final push. Prefer a fixed monthly rate plus a performance bonus tied to ticket milestones, which I'd prefer, so we're aligned on the outcome. To apply Skip the generic pitch. Tell me about one event or funnel you drove to a specific number, what the channels were, and what you'd do differently. Then tell me which of the four channels above you're strongest in and which you'd want support on.
