Excel Data Specialist Needed for Complex Billing Formulas

I am looking for an Excel expert to help refine a complex billing model for a monthly financial report. The goal is to accurately project expected payment amounts based on specific insurance payer rules, state-based historical performance, and payment verification Key Responsibilities: • Formula Development: Create robust, scalable Excel formulas (utilizing AVERAGEIFS, FILTER, TRIM, and IFERROR logic) to automate expected payment calculations. • Data Cleaning: Troubleshoot and resolve common data issues (e.g., hidden characters/spaces, formatting inconsistencies, or "text-as-number" errors) that are currently causing #DIV/0! errors. • Validation: Ensure the formulas correctly calculate averages per payer and state, specifically excluding non-productive invoice data. • Audit: Review the existing dataset to ensure the formula applies correctly across different payers Requirements: • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (specifically complex logic, array formulas, and data manipulation). • Experience with medical billing or financial data preferred. • Ability to troubleshoot data anomalies and ensure formula integrity. • Attention to detail and ability to communicate how the formula functions for future maintenance. Deliverables: • A finalized Excel workbook with the logic embedded and fully operational. • A brief explanation of the solution so our internal team can maintain it.
