Excel and Microsoft 365 Expert for Data Model and Workflow Optimization

Important Note: Egyptian Arabic speakers are preferable. Job Description: 1. I am seeking an experienced Excel and Microsoft 365 freelancer to enhance and optimize an existing system of interconnected Excel files, data models, and dashboards. 2. The files and connections have already been developed and are currently in use. Therefore, this is not a request to build a completely new system from scratch. The selected freelancer will review the current setup, identify structural and technical gaps, resolve existing issues, and recommend or implement practical enhancements to improve automation, data integrity, scalability, and multi-user collaboration. 3. The freelancer should demonstrate best-practice solutions that I can understand and maintain independently. Scope of Work: The freelancer will support and advise on the following areas: 1. Explaining SharePoint fundamentals and advising whether and how SharePoint should be used within the proposed setup. 2. Designing a secure data structure for fixed master data and variable user inputs, including: * One Excel file versus multiple Excel files. * Linking tables through Power Pivot or related tools. 3. Designing a OneDrive-based workflow where multiple users update individual Excel files while all inputs are consolidated into a private master file. 4. Enabling users to add rows to protected Excel sheets without compromising data integrity. 5. Resolving concurrent-user conflicts, specifically designing a system to prevent duplicate serial number generation, when multiple users create entries simultaneously within a centralized setup. 6. Integrating cost tracking into the existing revenue-based system. 7. Reviewing and troubleshooting Excel Data Model and Power Pivot relationships, particularly where Pivot Tables fail to filter or connect data correctly across tables. 8. Supporting collaboration and file management using Microsoft 365 tools, including SharePoint, OneDrive, Excel Online, and related Microsoft applications. Other Tasks: 1. Changing or replacing source tables within the Data Model used by existing dashboards, such as replacing “Clean Data” with “Filtered Data.” 2. Allowing users to refresh Power Query connections without relying on local file paths stored on one computer. 3. Automating Excel data refreshes in the background through scheduled or event-based updates. 4. Troubleshooting cases where the “View As” feature in Excel 365 does not function as expected. Objective: To build a secure, scalable, and automated Excel system that: 1. Prevents accidental changes to fixed data. Supports multi-user collaboration without serial number conflicts or data overwrites. 2. Ensures reliable filtering, relationships, and dashboards. 3. Effectively models multi-departmental contract workflows. 4. Seamlessly integrates revenue and cost tracking. Deliverables: 1. Clear explanations and live guidance. 2. Recommended file and data architecture. 3. Practical fixes implemented or demonstrated. 4. Best-practice documentation system (OneDrive), optional but preferred. Required Skills: 1. Advanced Microsoft Excel, including Power Query, Power Pivot, and Data Models. 2. Pivot Tables and dashboard design. 3. Power BI experience, preferred. 4. Strong experience with SharePoint, OneDrive, Excel Online, and Microsoft 365 collaboration environments. 5. Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
