Experienced Canadian Accountant (CaseWare, GST, QuickBooks)

We are looking for an experienced Canadian Accountant to assist with ongoing accounting and file preparation tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CaseWare Working Papers, QuickBooks, and GST reconciliations and filings. You should be detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable working with Canadian accounting standards and firm-level working paper files.

• Prepare and review CaseWare files for year-end engagements.
• Reconcile retained earnings and ensure opening balances align with prior year files.
• Perform GST/HST reconciliations and verify filings.
• Review and adjust financial statements as needed.
• Maintain organized working papers and documentation.
• REQUIREMENTS
• Proficient with CaseWare Working Papers (experience with mapping, trial balance, and lead sheets).
• Strong understanding of QuickBooks (Online and Desktop).
• Knowledge of GST/HST rules and filings.
• Solid understanding of ASPE and working paper preparation.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
