# Virtual eCommerce, CRM & Communications Coordinator **Garage Cycles / GarageCycles.cc** **Remote / Virtual Position** ## About Garage Cycles Garage Cycles is building more than a bike shop. We are creating a cycling community that combines great bikes, expert support, local service, online convenience, and a mission to give back. We sell e-bikes, mountain bikes, road bikes, gravel bikes, components, apparel, and cycling accessories from brands including Velotric, Bakcou, POC Sports, Shimano, Zipp, ENVE, Chapter2, Priority Bicycles, and more. A major part of our mission is our pledge to donate **5% of e-bike sales to schools in Utah and across the country**. At an average e-bike sale price of approximately **$2,000**, if families around each Utah school purchased just 10 e-bikes through Garage Cycles, we could donate approximately **$1 million to Utah schools alone**. We want the public to join us. Customers should be able to get the best pricing online, match manufacturer deals and incentives, receive real support from bike experts, and help do incredible good at the same time. ## Role Overview We are looking for a detail-oriented, technically capable, marketing-minded Virtual eCommerce, CRM & Communications Coordinator to help manage and improve GarageCycles.cc. This person will make sure our Shopify product pages match vendor websites, current promotions, pricing, product specs, availability, images, and offers. The initial focus will be Velotric bikes, followed by Bakcou, POC Sports, Shimano, Zipp, ENVE, Chapter2, Priority Bicycles, and additional cycling brands. This role will also help improve our customer communication systems, including email and text automations, abandoned cart flows, product interest capture, pre-purchase email capture, post-purchase follow-up, remarketing campaigns, and customer education. The ideal candidate is part virtual admin, part Shopify coordinator, part CRM/automation assistant, and part brand storyteller. ## Key Responsibilities ### Product Page Management * Review GarageCycles.cc product pages against vendor websites to ensure pricing, offers, specs, variants, images, inventory language, and promotions are accurate. * Match vendor discounts, incentives, bundles, rebates, free shipping offers, accessory promotions, financing messages, and seasonal campaigns. * Keep product descriptions clear, accurate, and conversion-focused. * Improve product page layouts so customers can easily understand what they are buying, what support they receive, and why they should purchase through Garage Cycles. * Add or update comparison notes, sizing information, warranty details, assembly notes, shipping notes, pickup options, and expert-support messaging. * Maintain consistency across product titles, tags, collections, metafields, images, and SEO content. * Prioritize Velotric bikes first, then Bakcou, POC Sports, Shimano, Zipp, ENVE, Chapter2, Priority Bicycles, and other vendors. ### Pricing, Offers & Checkout Optimization * Regularly audit vendor websites to confirm Garage Cycles matches current manufacturer pricing and promotional offers. * Flag MAP, pricing, or promotion inconsistencies. * Help streamline checkout so customers clearly understand shipping, pickup, assembly, service, financing, discounts, and support options. * Improve conversion paths from product page to cart to checkout. * Help create clear calls to action such as “Get Today’s Best Price,” “Ask a Bike Expert,” “Reserve for Pickup,” “Check Availability,” or “Email Me This Offer.” * Help implement and optimize email capture before purchase for remarketing. ### Email & Text Automation * Review, improve, and help build GC’s email and SMS automations. * Improve abandoned cart, browse abandonment, product interest, welcome, post-purchase, review request, service reminder, membership, event, and remarketing flows. * Help write clearer email and text copy that reflects the GC brand, mission, and customer value. * Segment customers by interest, including e-bikes, mountain bikes, road bikes, gravel bikes, youth cycling, service, events, and memberships. * Help create flows for customers who view or inquire about specific brands such as Velotric, Bakcou, Chapter2, Priority, and others. * Track flow performance and suggest improvements to subject lines, offers, timing, and calls to action. * Ensure email and SMS messaging is accurate, compliant, and not overly aggressive. ### Communication Strategy * Help develop Garage Cycles’ overall customer communication strategy. * Clarify how GC explains its value to customers: best pricing, expert support, local bike-shop service, online convenience, community, and school donations. * Help turn the GC mission into website copy, emails, texts, landing pages, product page blocks, and social content. * Improve how we explain the 5% e-bike school donation pledge. * Help create messaging for customers, schools, parents, community partners, affiliates, and brand partners. * Help organize campaigns around bike launches, school fundraising, seasonal promotions, service offers, events, group rides, and membership. ### Website Storytelling * Help make the GarageCycles.cc website tell the GC story more clearly. * Create and improve website sections explaining: * Who Garage Cycles is * Why customers should buy from us * How we match manufacturer pricing and deals * How customers receive expert bike support * How the 5% e-bike donation pledge works * How schools and communities can benefit * How customers can join the mission * Help create landing pages for e-bike buyers, parents, schools, affiliates, and local riders. * Improve trust-building content, including FAQs, support promises, comparison pages, testimonials, and “why buy from GC” sections. ### Shopify & Technical Support * Make basic Shopify theme updates when needed. * Edit Shopify pages, sections, menus, navigation, product templates, metafields, collections, and landing pages. * Make light theme customizations using Shopify Liquid, HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript when needed. * Coordinate more complex development needs if outside the role’s skill set. * Help install, configure, or troubleshoot Shopify apps related to email capture, SMS, product options, reviews, bundles, upsells, subscriptions, forms, checkout, and analytics. * Help test the customer experience across desktop and mobile. * Identify broken links, poor layouts, confusing checkout steps, missing content, or conversion issues. ## Required Skills * Strong attention to detail. * Experience managing Shopify products, collections, pages, and promotions. * Comfortable comparing vendor websites against our own product pages. * Strong written communication skills. * Ability to improve customer-facing copy for clarity and conversion. * Familiarity with email marketing and SMS platforms such as Klaviyo, Shopify Email, Attentive, Postscript, Omnisend, Mailchimp, or similar tools. * Basic understanding of eCommerce conversion optimization. * Basic technical ability with Shopify themes, Liquid, HTML, CSS, and simple JavaScript. * Comfortable working independently and keeping organized task lists. * Ability to document changes, issues, and opportunities clearly. ## Preferred Skills * Experience in cycling, outdoor, sporting goods, fitness, powersports, or specialty retail. * Familiarity with bike brands, e-bikes, components, apparel, and accessories. * Experience with Shopify Plus or advanced Shopify workflows. * Experience with Klaviyo flows, segmentation, forms, and campaign strategy. * Experience with SMS compliance and customer segmentation. * Experience writing product page copy, landing page copy, email copy, and promotional messaging. * Experience with Canva, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools. * Experience with SEO basics, Google Analytics, Google Merchant Center, or Meta ads. * Experience working with affiliate, ambassador, or referral programs. ## Example Projects * Audit all Velotric product pages and update pricing, offers, specs, images, variants, and promotional messaging. * Build a product page block explaining that customers get manufacturer-matched pricing plus GC expert support. * Add email capture before purchase for customers interested in a specific bike. * Create an abandoned cart flow for e-bike shoppers. * Create a “5% Back to Schools” landing page. * Rewrite GC’s homepage mission section. * Build a Shopify section explaining “Best Online Pricing + Local Bike Expert Support.” * Create SMS follow-up for customers who submit a product interest form. * Build a post-purchase email series for e-bike buyers that includes setup, service, accessories, safety, and referral prompts. * Create brand-specific email flows for Velotric, Bakcou, Priority, Chapter2, and other key vendors. * Improve checkout messaging around pickup, shipping, assembly, and expert help. ## Success Metrics Success in this role will be measured by: * Product pages accurately matching vendor pricing, offers, and specs. * Improved product page clarity and conversion. * More email and SMS leads captured before purchase. * Stronger abandoned cart and remarketing performance. * Clearer communication of the GC story and school donation pledge. * Reduced customer confusion during checkout. * Faster updates when vendors change pricing or promotions. * Better organization of website content, campaigns, and customer communications. ## Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, technically comfortable, and understands that eCommerce is not just data entry. Product pages need to sell. Emails need to move people. Text messages need to be helpful. Website copy needs to build trust. Checkout needs to feel simple. You should be able to take a vendor page, compare it to our Shopify page, identify what is missing or wrong, update the page, improve the offer, and suggest how we can follow up with that customer through email or text. You do not need to be a professional bike mechanic, but you should be willing to learn the cycling industry and understand the difference between simply listing products and helping customers feel confident buying from Garage Cycles. ## Compensation Compensation will depend on experience, technical ability, and scope of work.
