Extract relevant parameters from hydraulic component datasheets

Summary

We are a modeling and simulation company. We are looking for someone with hydraulic engineering experience to interpret supplier datasheets (e.g. of proportional directional control valves), extract specific parameters (e.g. pressure drop at valve edge for the reference density and kinematic viscosity), and document where the parameters were found. The extracted parameters will be used to build a library of components models from various hydraulic component vendors. The candidate needs to be able to interpret datasheets for hydraulic components such as valves and pumps. Sometimes the parameters are available in these datasheets using different units or formats, and will need to be converted to our desired format. Sometimes multiple valves (e.g. with different bore diameters) are specified within the same datasheet. The candidate must be able to interpret this and separate the information accordingly. The candidate needs to clearly document what information was found and where. If a conversion method is used to transform a parameter from the datasheet format to our desired format, that conversion needs to be documented. Not all information will be available in the datasheets. That is ok, but it needs to be clearly documented which information was not available, and which information was found. Validation information should be extracted from the datasheet if possible (e.g. flow rates for various pressure differences). This validation information should also be documented. If necessary/desired, we can give the candidate access to our simulation software to enter the parameters directly there and compare to the validation information. Attached is an example of a datasheet. The candidate needs to be able to work with and interpret this kind of information. If we are able to find a good way to work together (i.e. good communication and a reasonable cost per parameterized component), there is much work to be done, and this could turn into a long-term contract.
