Summary

Family Europe Trip Planning Help: Hotels, Room Rules, Points + Logistics I’m Danny (kind, fun, busy father/husband) looking for a detail-oriented travel planning expert to help finalize a family Europe trip for me, my wife, and our 6-year-old son. We leave July 11, and I’m under time pressure trying to lock down hotels, transportation, and itinerary details before another major trip this week. I’ve done a lot of planning already, but I need help validating the plan, gathering current hotel pricing, and solving family room occupancy issues. Current route: Amsterdam → Copenhagen → Billund / LEGOLAND → Lucerne → Swiss Alps / Jungfrau region → Nice → Paris Main dates: * Amsterdam: July 11-15 * Copenhagen: July 15-18 * Billund: July 18-21 * Lucerne: July 21-24 * Swiss Alps / Jungfrau region: July 24-29 * Nice: July 29-August 2 * Paris: August 2-7 Main issue: Some hotel rooms show 2-person occupancy limits, even though we are 2 adults and one 6-year-old who can share a king bed with us. I need help emailing hotels to confirm whether they will allow all three of us in the room and whether extra fees, rollaway rules, or breakfast charges apply. I also need help comparing hotel options using Hyatt Globalist, Hilton/Marriott Gold, Amex Fine Hotels + Resorts, Chase The Edit, Hilton, Marriott, direct hotel booking, and Airbnb. What I need: * Review current hotel bookings/holds and flag occupancy risks * Draft/send hotel emails to confirm 2 adults + 1 child (convincing) * Gather current pricing for top hotel alternatives (points vs cash) options in each city (quick searchea to validate) * Compare cash vs points where relevant * Review key train/flight logistics between cities * Create a simple tracker or summary table with recommendations Important context: * I have Hyatt Globalist status and want to use it where it actually helps * We care about value, but family comfort and smooth logistics matter more (eg we are flying biz class for 55k miles each DFW to AMR!) * Billund/LEGOLAND is important because our son loves LEGO so just need some $value based decison making there and travel logistics * Switzerland is the hardest open section and depends heavily on hotel pricing/value * I can send a more detailed planning memo after hiring Ideal fit: * Europe family travel experience * Comfortable emailing hotels directly * Familiar with hotel occupancy rules * Experience with Hyatt, Amex FHR, Chase The Edit, Hilton, Marriott, or similar programs * Good at clear comparison tables * Practical and decisive Please propose either: * Your hourly rate and estimated hours, or * A fixed project price estimate or options I would like a solid draft within 4 days but maybe flexible and can be delivered in pieces. To apply, please answer: 1. Have you planned multi-city Europe family trips before? 2. Are you comfortable emailing hotels about room occupancy rules? 3. Have you worked with Hyatt, Amex FHR, Chase The Edit, Hilton, or Marriott? 4. What would you prioritize in the first 24 hours? 5. What would you charge: hourly plus estimated hours, or fixed fee? 6. Can you create a simple Google Sheet or comparison table? 7. Are you available to start immediately? Personal note: I’m usually hands-on with planning, but this trip has gotten complicated because of hotel room rules, loyalty programs, points options, and the tight timeline. The right person would save me a lot of time and help me feel confident I’m not missing something important while planning a really special trip for my wife and son.
