SmartAid AI is hiring an Accounting & Finance Operations Assistant to help organize and manage the financial backend of the business. We are NOT looking for a basic data-entry virtual assistant. We are looking for someone who understands financial organization, payroll processes, bookkeeping systems, and operational accuracy. This role is focused on: • Payroll • Accounts payable & receivable • Invoice tracking • Spreadsheet organization • Financial operations support We are looking for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced with bookkeeping/accounting systems. This is NOT a generic virtual assistant role. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES You will be responsible for: • Managing payroll calculations and payment tracking • Tracking commissions and bonus payouts • Accounts payable and accounts receivable support • Sending invoices and tracking payment status • Organizing and maintaining spreadsheets • Keeping financial records clean and accurate • Updating bookkeeping/accounting systems • Assisting with backend financial organization A major part of this role is helping improve organization and operational clarity across the company. SOFTWARE EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Candidates should have hands-on experience using bookkeeping/accounting systems such as: • Zoho Books • QuickBooks • Sage Experience with spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets) is required. IDEAL CANDIDATE We are looking for someone who: • Has real bookkeeping or accounting operations experience • Is highly detail-oriented and organized • Understands payroll and commission tracking • Can maintain clean and accurate records • Is comfortable working independently • Can handle repetitive financial tasks accurately PREFERRED (NOT REQUIRED) • Experience supporting remote teams • Experience with commission-based payroll structures • Familiarity with Zoho ecosystem products • Experience organizing messy financial data/spreadsheets ROLE DETAILS • Remote position • Long-term opportunity • Hourly pay • Potential for increased responsibilities over time HIRING PROCESS Selected candidates will complete: • Recorded video interview • Potential small test task
