🎬 Hiring shortform Scriptwriter football We are looking for a scriptwriter for football Shorts stories who can create highly engaging, viral 30 second scripts based on minimal source material. The source material may consist of either a reference Short or a short informational article/insta post. A short reference or brief informational article/Instagram post serves only to indicate the general direction of the new video topic; further research is necessary in most cases. The scripts should closely follow the storytelling style, pacing, humor and format used by the YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@ballblitz90/shorts Requirements • Exceptional overdramatized storytelling ability with a strong understanding of emotional narratives, tension, and audience retention. • Deep understanding of football culture, football social media, fan narratives, memes, and player storylines. • Ability to identify the most compelling angle of a story within minutes. • Ability to write highly engaging YouTube Shorts scripts with strong hooks, open loops, and satisfying payoffs. • Natural sense of humor, irony, and roasting without forcing jokes. • Ability to replicate the style, pacing, and tone of existing football channels. • Fast football research skills. • Strong understanding of what drives comments, shares, and viewer retention. • Experience writing short-form content (YouTube Shorts, TikTok, Reels) preferred. Nice to have • Experience using AI tools as part of the writing workflow. Script Length & Workload • Scripts should be approximately 30 seconds in length, matching the average length and pacing of the reference channel. • Initial workload: 1 script per day. • Expected turnaround time: within 12 hours of receiving the topic/source material. Faster turnaround times are highly valued. For breaking football stories, the ability to deliver within a few hours is a strong advantage. • If the collaboration is successful and script quality remains consistent, the volume of scripts may be increased over time. • Consistent workload • Long-term position Compensation rate: $5 per approved script Opportunity for monthly performance-based bonuses as the channel grows.
