Forensic Audio Analysis & Noise Documentation for Small Claims Evidence
Worldwide
I am looking for an experienced audio analyst, forensic audio technician, acoustics specialist, or audio engineer to help review and document several weeks of recordings related to an ongoing residential noise dispute. About Me I am not an audio professional. I am a former chef from Sherman, Texas, trying to document repeated impact noises and vibrations coming from the apartment above mine. I have already collected the recordings and can easily transfer all files to you. What I Have • Approximately three 32GB SD cards of recordings from a Zoom H1 Essential recorder • A mix of standard microphone recordings and contact microphone recordings attached to the ceiling • Some recordings contain obvious impact sounds, while others may contain little or no activity What I Need • Review the recordings and identify periods containing impact noises, thumps, clanks, vibrations, or similar disturbances • Determine whether the recordings contain useful evidence and explain your findings in plain English • Enhance and isolate significant impact sounds when possible • Create visual evidence such as spectrograms, timelines, graphs, screenshots, or other exhibits that clearly demonstrate recurring noise events • Identify particularly strong examples that would be useful in a small claims court presentation • Provide a short written summary of findings Deliverables 1. List of the most significant recordings and timestamps 2. Enhanced audio clips of key events (if possible) 3. Visual exhibits showing noise activity 4. Brief report written for a non-technical audience Important I am not looking for someone to simply run a quick filter and return a few screenshots. I need an honest evaluation from someone willing to spend enough time with the recordings to determine whether meaningful evidence exists and how best to present it. When applying, please tell me: • What experience you have with low-frequency impacts, vibration noise, contact microphone recordings, forensic audio, acoustics, or legal evidence preparation • How you would approach this project • Whether you would charge a fixed price or hourly rate
