Founding Engineer

Founding Engineer (Part-time) Staff-level engineer to help build a SaaS platform for environmental compliance management. Pre-pilot stage. 10-20 hours/week. Fully remote. The work • Work across the full stack, from data model to UI • Translate business and regulatory requirements into product features • Make design and architectural tradeoffs with incomplete information • Own delivery against the pilot roadmap and manage your own priorities • Build and extend agentic and LLM-driven product features • Move infrastructure from local hosting to AWS or Azure What we want • 10+ years building and maintaining production SaaS • Systems thinking and first-principles reasoning • Strong on multi-tenancy, data modelling, API design, testing, and operations • Can pick up an unfamiliar stack and contribute within days Desirable • Experience designing agentic systems, RAG pipelines, or LLM-integrated product features • Familiarity with frameworks such as LangGraph or Pydantic AI, and with MCP Stack Open to change. Today: Django, DRF, PostgreSQL with pgvector, React 19 with TypeScript, Tailwind, shadcn/ui. Moving to AWS or Azure.
