Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced, bilingual (Business + Tech) Fractional CTO and Principal Solution Architect to review our comprehensive Product Requirements Document (PRD) , conduct a rigorous gap analysis, consult on commercial optimization, and deliver a production-ready technical architecture specification document (.docx). You will bridge the gap between business strategy and deep software engineering, ensuring our platform is scalable, secure, and structurally sound before development begins. --- 1. Project Overview & Context The project is the BotsFuture Learning Platform - an avatar-led, project-focused educational ecosystem that teaches physical computing and programming to kids ages 8 to 11. Core Product Mechanics The Guided 6-Phase Flow: Every project drives the student through a fixed sequence: Introduction, Teaching/Concept Quiz, Physical Assembly/Wiring, Block Coding, Upload & Test, and a Final Challenge. The Visual IDE Component: Built using Blockly.js with the Zelos renderer to create a Scratch-style interface. The blocks generate Arduino C++ code. Hardware Execution Pipeline: The browser compiles the C++ program via a server-side toolchain and flashes it to hardware (Arduino Uno, Nano, ESP32) using the browser's native Web Serial API. Dual-Deployment Topology: The app operates from a single codebase but handles two distinct deployment shapes: 1. A multi-tenant, cloud-hosted Public Edition with an integrated hardware marketplace. 2. An entirely offline, local network-hosted School Edition that runs on a school LAN with zero internet connectivity, utilizing localized AI and local text-to-speech (TTS) engines. --- 2. Two-Phased Scope of Work Phase 1: Gap Analysis & Business-Technology Consultation Before designing the architecture, you will collaborate directly with our leadership team as a strategic consultant to achieve the following: Identify Structural Gaps: Audit our clear product vision to uncover hidden technical roadblocks, logical inconsistencies, or operational friction within the dual-hosting requirements. Revenue & Success Maximization: Review cross-cutting features—such as the programmatic integration with our third-party hardware vendor , user onboarding, and monetization frameworks—and provide expert consulting on how to architect these components to maximize platform adoption and revenue. Unified Strategic Alignment: Lead short consulting sessions with us to evaluate trade-offs, solve open architectural questions (e.g., telemetry data retention, COPPA/GDPR compliance paths for public sign-ups), and align on a unanimous strategic direction. -- Phase 2: Complete Architectural Design & SDLC Documentation Once strategic decisions are finalized, you will transition into a core Solution Architect role to dissect the project into fine-grained engineering modules. You will generate a master Technical Architecture Specification Document (.docx) containing: 1. Exact Feature Inventory: A definitive, granular breakdown of MVP boundaries versus future roadmap items (e.g., circuit simulation, tablet companion apps). 2. User Roles & Cryptographic System Claims: Absolute enforcement matrices isolating Student, Teacher, and BotsFuture Admin capabilities. 3. Database Structure & Relational Schema: Production-ready relational design (e.g., Prisma/PostgreSQL definitions) including exact entities for sessions, historical rollbacks, and manifest version pinning. 4. Complete Screen/Module Dissection: Detailed architectural mappings of the 3-Panel IDE layout, the low-code Manifest Authoring Studio, and the Teacher Analytics Console. 5. Deterministic AI Pipeline & Tech Stack: Structural layouts defining the rule-led Avatar Orchestrator, its handoffs to quantized localized Language Models (e.g., Ollama/Llama), and TTS abstraction layers. 6. SDLC Diagrams & Artifacts: Technical system topologies, end-to-end data pipelines, browser-to-hardware serialization sequences, and state machine transitions. 7. Development Milestones & Sprints: A realistic 28-week phased execution plan mapping milestones, testing strategies, and QA validation criteria. 8. Commercial Cost Estimates: Accurate resource allocation models and budgetary projections categorized by development agency vs. senior freelancer strategies. --- 3. Candidate Experience & Profile Requirements Proven CTO / Solution Architect Background: Demonstrable experience taking complex software platforms from 0-to-1 production launch. Hybrid Infrastructure Architecture Expertise: Deep experience designing software capable of switching dynamically between cloud multi-tenancy and entirely network-isolated, on-premise local server environments. Physical Computing / Web-to-Hardware Familiarity: Highly preferred experience dealing with visual programming blocks (Blockly/Scratch frameworks) , browser-based terminal/serial communications (Web Serial API) , or hardware compiler toolchains. Data Privacy Champion: Solid understanding of technical compliance requirements for minors, including data minimization and isolated storage structures. Exceptional Documentarian: A history of translating product requirements into highly structured technical specifications with scannable, developer-ready clarity.
