We are seeking an experienced Fractional CFO to provide strategic financial leadership and help guide the company through its next phase of growth, operational excellence, and capital development. Position Summary The Fractional CFO will serve as the senior financial advisor to the CEO and leadership team. This individual will be responsible for developing financial strategies, improving profitability, building financial systems and controls, managing cash flow, supporting fundraising initiatives, overseeing budgeting and forecasting, and providing insights that drive sustainable business growth. The ideal candidate has experience working with startups, hospitality businesses, entertainment brands, restaurants, nightlife venues, event companies, or rapidly growing consumer-facing businesses. Key Responsibilities Strategic Financial Leadership - Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and leadership team. - Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with company growth objectives. - Provide recommendations on expansion opportunities, partnerships, investments, and revenue growth initiatives. - Participate in executive decision-making and long-term planning. Financial Planning & Analysis - Develop annual budgets and financial forecasts. - Build financial models to support growth initiatives and investment decisions. - Analyze profitability by event, business unit, marketing channel, and revenue stream. - Create financial dashboards and KPI reporting systems. - Monitor financial performance and provide actionable recommendations. Cash Flow & Financial Management - Manage cash flow planning and forecasting. - Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and profitability. - Establish financial controls and policies to safeguard company assets. - Monitor expenses and optimize resource allocation. Fundraising & Investor Relations - Prepare financial materials for investors, lenders, and strategic partners. - Support fundraising efforts, sponsorship opportunities, and investment discussions. - Develop financial presentations, projections, and business cases. - Assist leadership with due diligence processes. Accounting Oversight - Oversee bookkeeping, accounting operations, and financial reporting. - Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records. - Review monthly financial statements and performance reports. - Coordinate with external accountants, tax professionals, and auditors. Risk Management & Compliance - Ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations and tax requirements. - Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies. - Improve internal controls and financial governance processes. Business Growth & Operational Support - Evaluate new revenue opportunities and business ventures. - Analyze pricing strategies, event profitability, and customer acquisition costs. - Support partnership, sponsorship, and expansion initiatives through financial analysis. Qualifications Required - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. - CPA, CMA, MBA, or equivalent financial qualification preferred. - Minimum 8+ years of senior financial leadership experience. - Previous experience as a CFO, Fractional CFO, VP Finance, or Finance Director. - Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting expertise. - Experience supporting executive teams and founders. - Advanced proficiency with financial software and reporting tools. - Excellent communication and presentation skills. Preferred - Experience within hospitality, nightlife, entertainment, restaurants, events, media, or consumer brands. - Experience with fundraising, investor relations, and capital raising. - Experience supporting high-growth startups and scaling businesses. - Knowledge of U.S. financial regulations and tax requirements.
