Fractional Controller / Accounting Manager (Remote)

Position Title Fractional Controller / Accounting Manager (Remote) Primary Responsibilities Review and approve monthly bookkeeping work Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and loan accounts Prepare monthly financial statements Create and maintain program budgets Monitor grant and contract spending Oversee AP (Accounts Payable) and AR (Accounts Receivable) Review payroll reports before processing Ensure staff coding of expenses is accurate Create financial dashboards for leadership Supervise bookkeepers and accounting assistants Coordinate with CPA for tax filings and audits Develop internal financial controls Identify financial risks and compliance issues Track cash flow and forecasting Support new program launches with budget projections Experience Requirements 5+ years nonprofit accounting experience preferred Experience with multi-program budgets Experience with Medicaid, grants, housing, behavioral health, or social services organizations QuickBooks Online expertise Advanced Excel or Google Sheets Experience supervising accounting staff Strong English communication skills
