Fractional Financial Controller (Part-Time)

Overview We're a growing company seeking an experienced fractional Financial Controller to help us strengthen our accounting processes, clean up internal controls, and support forecasting/budgeting. We currently have an on-site accountant and an external accounting team, and need help clarifying roles, reporting lines, and workflows between them. Responsibilities Review and document current accounting processes, identifying gaps and inefficiencies Design and implement clear AP/AR workflows (approvals, segregation of duties, who does what) Clarify reporting structure between on-site accountant and external accounting team Review and restructure payroll processes Develop budgeting and cash flow forecasting framework Provide monthly financial review and recommendations to management Support and advise on our ongoing Tally-to-Odoo accounting migration Requirements Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role Experience working with hybrid in-house/outsourced accounting setups Strong knowledge of AP/AR controls, payroll processes, and month-end close Experience with Odoo Accounting strongly preferred (we're migrating from Tally to Odoo) Experience with budgeting/forecasting (FP&A exposure a plus) Comfortable working independently and communicating clearly with non-finance stakeholders Excellent English communication skills Engagement Part-time, ongoing, ~5-10 hrs/week Remote Initial phase: process review and recommendations; ongoing: implementation support, monthly forecasting/reporting . Sonnet 4.6 Low
