Fractional Head of Marketing / Fractional CMO

Uprise Solar is looking for an experienced Fractional CMO or Fractional Head of Marketing to help us strengthen our marketing strategy, improve lead generation, and connect our marketing efforts more directly to sales. We are a locally owned solar and roofing company serving Washington, DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia. We already have an established sales process, HubSpot CRM, multiple lead sources, content marketing, paid advertising, referral programs, and community outreach efforts. We need a senior marketing leader who can evaluate what we are doing, identify the best opportunities, and help us focus our time and budget. This is not a project where we only want an audit or a strategy presentation. We are looking for someone who can provide senior-level direction while also helping us turn the strategy into action. Initial responsibilities: * Audit our current marketing channels, spending, messaging, website, CRM, and reporting * Evaluate lead quality, conversion rates, customer acquisition costs, and revenue by lead source * Develop a prioritized 6 to 12-month marketing plan * Improve alignment between marketing, inside sales, and our sales team * Strengthen HubSpot reporting, attribution, automation, and lead management * Evaluate our current agencies, platforms, vendors, and contractors * Identify opportunities across paid media, SEO, content, email, referrals, direct mail, events, and community partnerships * Help us develop a customer acquisition strategy for Maryland and Virginia * Establish clear weekly and monthly performance reporting * Help leadership determine where additional support or resources are needed Ideal experience: * Senior marketing leadership experience with a growing consumer business * Experience in residential solar, roofing, HVAC, home services, or another locally focused consumer industry * A record of improving qualified lead volume, conversion rates, and customer acquisition costs * Strong HubSpot and marketing attribution experience * Experience managing agencies, freelancers, and internal teams * Ability to balance brand development with measurable lead generation * A practical and collaborative working style * A commitment to transparent and ethical consumer marketing We expect to begin with a 90-day engagement of approximately 5 to 10 hours per week.
