Project: Still Me – My Preparation Binder About the Project I am seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented student or recent graduate to assist in completing a professional workbook that will be published on Amazon under my name. The ideal candidate is passionate about books, writing, editing, organization, and creating polished documents. ⸻ Required Qualifications Education * Current college student or recent graduate in one of the following fields: * English * Journalism * Publishing * Creative Writing * Communications * Graphic Design * Technical Writing * Business (with strong writing skills) ⸻ Writing & Editing Skills The successful candidate must demonstrate: * Excellent written English. * Outstanding grammar, punctuation, and spelling. * Ability to rewrite text for clarity while preserving the author’s voice. * Strong proofreading and editing skills. * Excellent attention to detail. * Ability to organize large amounts of information logically. ⸻ Technical Skills Experience with: * Microsoft Word (advanced) * Microsoft Excel (basic to intermediate) * Google Docs * Adobe Acrobat (preferred) * Amazon KDP formatting (preferred) * Creating clickable Tables of Contents * Internal hyperlinks * PDF preparation ⸻ Workbook Design The ideal candidate should know how to: * Design attractive worksheets * Create professional forms * Format checklists * Build easy-to-follow workbooks * Maintain consistent fonts, spacing, and layout * Create documents suitable for print and digital publication ⸻ Personal Qualities The ideal candidate is: * Highly organized * Reliable * Creative * Patient * Professional * Self-motivated * Able to work independently * Open to constructive feedback * Committed to meeting deadlines ⸻ Preferred Experience Preference will be given to candidates who have experience with: * Editing books * Workbook or journal creation * Self-publishing * Amazon KDP * Women’s education or financial literacy materials * Book design or interior layout ⸻ Application Requirements Please include: * Resume * Portfolio or writing samples * Examples of editing or formatting work * Estimated project timeline * Hourly rate or fixed project fee * Three references (if available) ⸻ Paid Skills Assessment Finalists will be invited to complete a paid sample assignment, including: * Editing 2–3 pages from the manuscript. * Formatting one workbook section. * Creating one professional worksheet. This assessment helps ensure the selected candidate is the right fit for the project. ⸻ Confidentiality Because this manuscript is unpublished, the selected candidate must agree to keep all materials confidential and sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) before beginning work. ⸻ Opportunity This is more than a one-time project.
