Freelance Compliance and IT Auditor for UAE Financial Services

Overview: We are a UAE-based cybersecurity and consulting firm delivering managed security and compliance advisory services to CBUAE-regulated FinTech clients including exchange houses and payment service providers. We need an experienced freelance auditor available on an hourly basis to support client engagements as they arise. You will work with a structured audit checklist provided by us and must be capable of managing client interactions independently with minimal supervision. Scope of work (hourly, as needed): IT general controls (ITGC) review and gap analysis ISO 27001 audit readiness assessments CBUAE regulatory compliance reviews (exchange houses, payment service providers) AML/CFT control framework assessments Risk register development and review Audit report drafting and management letter preparation Support for client-facing compliance checklists and remediation roadmaps Required credentials: CISA and/or CIA (mandatory) ISO 27001 Lead Auditor (preferred) ACCA/CA (a plus) Required experience: Minimum 5 years in IT/compliance audit Prior exposure to UAE or GCC banking, exchange house, or FinTech regulatory environment strongly preferred Experience working in a white-label or subcontract capacity for a consulting or MSSP firm Proven ability to manage client-facing audit engagements independently using a provided checklist framework Engagement terms: Hourly contract, engaged as and when client projects arise Fully remote; deliverables in English Must be available and responsive during UAE business hours (Gulf Standard Time, UTC+4)
