Freelance Electrical Engineer Needed – Mobile Battery / EV Charging Integration

We sell a mobile 95 kWh LFP battery unit with a 240/120V split-phase charge input drawing up to 50A at 240V. A customer wants to deploy the unit at a commercial EV charging site with a new 480V three-phase utility service. We are looking for an experienced electrical engineer to review our proposed approach and help us develop clear technical recommendations for the customer and their engineer of record. Our current concept is: 480V three-phase service → step-down transformer → 240/120V connection point → mobile battery unit The site will also need a suitable location or enclosure for the battery, transformer, electrical connection equipment, and any required protection or disconnects. Scope of work: * Validate the overall concept and identify technical issues * Recommend transformer sizing and configuration * Recommend primary and secondary protection, disconnects, receptacles, conductors, grounding, and related equipment * Provide a recommended bill of materials * Provide a conceptual schematic or one-line diagram * Identify NEC, safety, weather protection, clearance, enclosure, and site-layout concerns * Recommend improvements or alternative approaches * Help define what our customer should provide to its local engineer and electrical contractor This is an advisory engagement only. We are not asking the freelancer to design the entire site, prepare permit drawings, or act as the engineer of record. Requirements: * Must live in the United States * Must hold an active Professional Engineer license in at least one U.S. state * Experience with commercial electrical distribution and 480V systems * Strong working knowledge of the NEC * Experience with transformers, EV charging, or battery energy storage * Ohio PE license preferred, but not required Please include your state of residence, PE license information, relevant experience, availability, and examples of similar work.
