Video Village is seeking a creative, resourceful recruiter to help identify exceptional candidates for three unique live-in filmmaking positions: - Producer - Producer's Assistant - Social Media Manager This is not a traditional recruiting assignment. We've already advertised through many of the major job boards. Instead, we're looking for someone who enjoys finding talented people through thoughtful research and personalized outreach. The best candidates are likely hiding in places that traditional recruiters don't typically search. Examples might include: - Film school alumni networks - MFA programs - Independent filmmaking organizations - Facebook groups - Reddit communities - Discord serversStage - 32ProductionHub - Vimeo creators - LinkedIn outreach - Film festival alumni - Personal referrals - Other creative communities We encourage you to think beyond this list. About Video Village: Video Village is a new residential filmmaking community where filmmakers live together while developing and producing a shared slate of original films and television projects. Team members are hired as W-2, at-will employees. Compensation includes a combination of cash wages, private furnished accommodations, free meals, and the opportunity to participate in the profits generated by the films produced through Video Village. Each team member has a private bedroom while sharing common spaces—including bathrooms, kitchens, living areas, and the broader creative environment—with other members of the residency. What You'll Do: - Identify promising candidates for one or more of the three roles. - Conduct thoughtful outreach introducing them to Video Village. - Encourage interested candidates to complete our online application. - Keep brief records of where candidates were sourced. Trial Project: - The initial contract is a $75 paid trial. - Success will be measured primarily by the quality of applicants—not simply the number of messages sent. - After 5 days, if the trial is successful, the contract will immediately expand to approximately $300, with additional recruiting opportunities likely as Video Village continues to grow. Ideal Candidate: - You are someone who enjoys the hunt. - You know how to uncover talented people who aren't actively looking for jobs. - You're comfortable with cold outreach, creative sourcing, and thinking beyond conventional recruiting channels. - Experience recruiting for creative industries is a plus, but curiosity, persistence, and resourcefulness are even more important.
