Freelance Technical Interviewer / Assessor (Senior Mechanical Engineer - Thermo-Fluid & HVAC)

We are looking for a high-level Technical Interviewer / Assessor to help us evaluate shortlisted candidates for a Senior Mechanical Engineer position opened by a pioneering cleantech company specializing in grid-scale Thermal Energy Storage (TES) solutions. What the freelance role looks like: - Task: Conduct a 1-hour technical interview in an online format (in English) with a shortlisted candidate and provide a brief evaluation or feedback afterwards. - Volume: We currently have 1-3 high-potential candidates ready for technical screening. - Flexibility: Interviews will be scheduled at a mutually convenient time. - Compensation: This is a fully paid, freelance consulting gig. Our budget is flexible, and we are open to discussing your preferred hourly or per-interview rate. Our Requirements for the Interviewer: To effectively evaluate our candidates, you must be a senior-level professional or expert in mechanical engineering with deep knowledge in the following areas: - Deep working knowledge of applied thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics. - Experience with R&D engineering, thermo-fluid systems, or Phase Change Materials (PCM) / Heat Transfer Fluid (HTF) systems. - Strong understanding of New Product Introduction (NPI) processes and SolidWorks. - Experience with energy storage systems, HVAC, refrigeration, industrial cooling, or chiller technology is highly preferred. - Proven experience conducting technical interviews or technical assessments for senior engineering roles. We understand this is a highly specialized role.
