Full-Stack Web3 Lead Engineer for Decentralized E-commerce Platform

We're building a decentralized e-commerce platform from the ground up. The goal is straightforward: create a marketplace where buyers and sellers can interact directly, with lower fees, better transparency, and more control than traditional platforms offer today. Blockchain is part of the solution, but not the entire solution. Payments, rewards, staking, and governance will live on-chain where it makes sense. Everything else needs to feel fast, intuitive, and familiar to everyday users. Alongside the platform, we're building a native token that will be used for payments, rewards, staking, and platform participation. The token supports the product — not the other way around. We're currently in the PoC stage. Core concepts are defined, some early work has started, but we're still at a point where strong technical leadership can significantly influence the direction of the platform. The Role We're looking for a Full-Stack Web3 Lead Engineer who can help bridge the gap between product ideas and production-ready systems. You'll be involved across the stack, helping design and build how the entire platform works. That includes: - Building and integrating Web3 functionality - Working with smart contracts and blockchain integrations - Developing backend services and APIs - Building frontend applications and user flows - Connecting wallets, payments, rewards, and staking systems - Making architectural decisions as the platform evolves - Helping establish engineering standards and development processes We're looking for someone who enjoys solving end-to-end problems rather than focusing on a single layer of the stack. What We're Looking For - Strong experience building modern web applications - Experience working with Web3 technologies and smart contract integrations - Solid frontend experience with React, Next.js, or similar frameworks - Backend experience building APIs and scalable services - Familiarity with Solidity, EVM ecosystems, wallets, and blockchain infrastructure - Ability to make practical technical decisions and balance trade-offs - Comfortable working in an early-stage startup environment What Success Looks Like The ideal person for this role can look at a feature and think beyond just writing code. For example: A rewards system isn't just a smart contract. It's the smart contract, backend services, frontend experience, wallet interactions, analytics, security considerations, and how it all works together for the user.
