In this role, you will be responsible for designing, coding, and deploying engaging gameplay experiences. While general game development skills are required, prior experience in the iGaming sector—specifically in the design and logic of slot games—is a strong advantage. You will work closely with mathematics teams, technical artists, and sound designers to bring math models, reel behaviors, and bonus features to life in a regulated commercial environment. 2. Key Responsibilities Gameplay Development: Implement core game mechanics, reel layouts, bonus triggers, and UI flows for digital casino games. Math Integration: Collaborate with mathematicians to translate complex mathematical models (RTP, volatility, hit frequency) into exact programmatic game logic. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with UI/UX designers, 2D/3D artists, and audio engineers to ensure high-fidelity animations, asset optimization, and a seamless player experience. Code Optimization: Write clean, modular, and performance-optimized code to ensure fast loading times and smooth rendering across web and mobile platforms. Testing & Debugging: Diagnose gameplay bottlenecks, simulate billions of game rounds to verify statistical accuracy, and eliminate technical glitches. Documentation: Create clear, structured technical documentation for game architectures and system integrations. 3. Requirements 3.1. Technical Skills Experience: 3–5 years of professional experience in game development. iGaming Edge: Direct experience working within the iGaming/online gambling industry, specifically developing slot games, is highly preferred and will be considered a strong advantage. Core Tech Stack: Proficiency in languages used for modern gaming and web deployment, such as JavaScript/TypeScript (Phaser, PixiJS, Cocos), C++, or C# (Unity). Math & Logic Foundations: Strong grasp of probability, state machine management, and implementing RNG (Random Number Generator) mechanics. Cross-Platform Delivery: Proven track record of optimizing games for HTML5 mobile browsers and desktop web environments. Tools: Proficiency with version control tools (Git) and game development pipelines. 3.2. Soft Skills Attention to Detail: Precision in matching visual behaviors exactly to the underlying mathematical specifications. Problem Solving: A proactive approach to troubleshooting logic edge-cases or execution anomalies in high-stakes regulated gaming environments. Team Player: Strong communication skills to interact effectively with a remote or distributed multidisciplinary creative team. 4. Nice-to-Have Understanding of international gaming regulations and certification requirements (e.g., GLI, BMM Testlabs). Familiarity with building backend gaming servers or working with custom game engines. Experience with server-client communication protocols (WebSockets, REST APIs).
