HR Generalist

Slate is looking for a driven, bilingual HR Generalist who knows how to find great people and get them set up for success from day one. This role is heavily focused on recruiting and onboarding, and requires someone who understands the workforce dynamics of the property management, residential cleaning, or commercial cleaning industries. If you know how to source reliable, hard-working candidates in these fields and speak the language of the people doing the work, we want to hear from you. Key Responsibilities Recruiting Source, screen, and recruit candidates for roles across property management and cleaning operations Post job listings on relevant platforms and manage applicant pipelines Conduct initial interviews and assess candidates for culture and role fit Build and maintain a talent pool of qualified candidates for ongoing hiring needs Develop recruiting strategies tailored to the cleaning and property management labor market Onboarding Manage the full onboarding process for new hires from offer acceptance through their first days on the job Prepare and process new hire paperwork and ensure all documentation is complete and compliant Coordinate orientation and ensure new employees understand company policies, expectations, and procedures Serve as the primary point of contact for new hires during their transition into the role General HR Support Serve as a bilingual resource for Spanish-speaking employees, bridging communication between staff and leadership Support employee relations, answer HR inquiries, and help maintain a positive workplace culture Assist with HR documentation, record-keeping, and compliance as needed Requirements Bilingual — English and Spanish is required (written and spoken) Demonstrated experience in recruiting and onboarding, ideally in high-volume or field-based roles Background in property management, residential cleaning, commercial cleaning, or a related industry strongly preferred Strong interpersonal skills — you can connect with candidates and employees at every level Organized and process-driven with the ability to manage multiple open roles simultaneously Familiarity with HR platforms, ATS tools, and job boards such as Workable
