Government Contract Vehicle & Proposal Application Specialist

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and motivated Government Contract Vehicle & Proposal Application Specialist to join our team. This person will be responsible for helping our company pursue government contracting opportunities, submit applications, manage required documentation, and stay familiar with all contract vehicles we are actively pursuing. The ideal candidate must be a team player, highly organized, responsive, and able to take ownership of assigned tasks from start to finish. The selected candidate will be responsible for: Reviewing and applying to government contracting opportunities assigned by management. Preparing, organizing, and submitting applications, registrations, capability statements, proposal documents, and required forms. Becoming familiar with all contract vehicles our company is pursuing, including federal, state, local, and agency-specific vehicles. Tracking deadlines, submission requirements, amendments, clarifications, and follow-up actions. Working with internal team members to gather company information, past performance, certifications, pricing, technical documents, and compliance materials. Monitoring opportunity portals and contract vehicle requirements. Maintaining organized records of submissions, login credentials, deadlines, and status updates. Ensuring all applications and submissions are accurate, complete, and submitted on time. Communicating clearly with leadership and team members regarding progress, missing items, and next steps. Desired Experience The ideal candidate should have experience or familiarity with: Government contracting and proposal support. Contract vehicles such as GSA Schedules, IDIQs, GWACs, BPAs, state/local purchasing vehicles, and agency-specific vehicles. SAM.gov, GSA eBuy, FedConnect, PIEE, Unison, GovWin, state procurement portals, or similar platforms. Capability statements, RFIs, Sources Sought, RFQs, RFPs, and vendor registration processes. Basic FAR/DFARS knowledge is a plus. Small business certifications, set-asides, NAICS codes, and past performance documentation. Comfortable handling multiple applications and opportunities at the same time. A clear communicator who provides regular updates. Proactive, dependable, and able to work with minimal supervision. Willing to learn our company’s goals, contract vehicles, target agencies, and pursuit strategy. Experienced with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, PDF editing, spreadsheets, and online portals. Preferred but Not Required Previous experience working with a government contractor. Proposal writing or proposal coordination experience. Experience applying for contract vehicles. Familiarity with compliance documents, representations and certifications, and vendor onboarding. Knowledge of federal, state, and local procurement processes. Position Type This position may be part-time, full-time, or contract-based depending on experience and availability.
